The project plays with common typologies of shelf brackets that can be found in any local hardware store, and questions these highly functional, yet aesthetically generic objects. Every bracket is hand made by hand and are impossible to replicate, each piece being one of a kind - far from the industrially manufactured shelf brackets. Exploring characteristics of different materials, as well as principles of shape and construction gives the shelf a character that blurs the vision about a shelf as a generic display, and starts a dialog between what is on the shelf and what is under it.
